GTCI is an annual benchmarking report that measures the ability of 118 countries based on their ability to grow, attract and retain talent.
The 2017 GTCI study focuses on how technology is affecting talent competitiveness and the nature of work, exploring both challenges and opportunities, and important shifts away from traditional working approaches.
Out of a sample of 118 countries, Singapore came in 2nd. Based on the findings, there are 3 recommendations for companies looking to talent competitive in this new technological age:
- Invest in constant upskilling of staff and offer work-based training opportunities to young people
- Encourage autonomy and collaboration over authority and hierarchy
- Embrace flexibility and mobility
