At a a closed-door dialogue held on Friday (Feb 24) at an annual technology summit organised by venture capital firm Sequoia Capital India, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong emphasised on the need for Singapore to leverage on technology and the Internet in the new economy.
“While the plans (set out by the 2017 Budget) are not ‘rocket science’, the key lies in whether Singapore can get everyone pulling in the same direction and achieve its objectives faster than others.”

Relating to the pain of change management that all organisations face, Mr Lee pointed out that the Singapore Government have confronted related issues in 50-plus years of governing Singapore, and while it is “is never an easy exercise”, he implored businesses and individuals to embrace change and utilise technology to craft a better future and stay relevant.
